Cheryl Kingman, Owner, Event Facilitator

Cheryl  loves planning parties and events of every kind, and has been doing so for over 20 years! Her passion is working with clients to make their dream event become a reality. Having facilitated events in the Koury Convention Center and LJVM Coliseum, along with quaint backyard gatherings and afternoon teas, she brings the same level of expertise and thoughtfulness to every occasion. With over 25 years of Nursing Management experience, Cheryl can think on her feet, is graceful under pressure and handles all kinds of surprising situations with a calm disposition. Working tirelessly behind the scenes pulling together every detail is her forte. Cheryl’s ultimate goal - for you to have as much fun at the party as your guests are having!  

When she’s not meeting new clients for coffee or answering emails about florals, Cheryl spends time jogging, playing the piano, and volunteering. A native of Michigan, she also enjoys traveling, and spending time with family.

Bethany Bush, Executive Director, Lead Bridal Consultant

Bethany’s first event with Cheryl was in 2010, and when Detailed Events became a reality, she was on board from the start. As a right hand during the planning process and throughout the day of the event, Bethany’s hustle and attention to every detail is invaluable. During events, you may find her straightening table numbers or drying tears from the mother of the bride - she will show up wherever needed. As a font fanatic, Excel lover, life-long crafter, and perpetual night owl, she will be essential for your event from start to finish.

When she’s not throwing a birthday party or pinning on a corsage, Bethany is a transformer-playing, ball-throwing, and book-reading mom to two inquisitive little boys and a wife to a marathon runner. She is a native of Winston-Salem and enjoys sewing, sushi, and spending time at the lake.
